Jack O’Lantern. Jack is a pretty cool dude for someone that basically hangs around your porch potentially intimidating neighbors. In a beach town the Halloween spirit really sticks out when many of your neighbors won’t be here until May. Bravo to the pumpkin carvers! Kudos to the hangers of ghost decorations! Thanks to those who placed the witches and scarecrows and black cats and ghouls on your homes. We do enjoy the quiet as we wait for next year’s summer rentals to start moving in but we love the exciting houses that enjoy this time of year by entertaining the rest of us! So next time you see a gravestone in your neighbor’s yard, scream “Thank You!” and scare them a little. They will appreciate it.
